I thought a great deal about what would help me plan in 2016 the last couple months. I have loved my The Weekly Times planner as a tool to keep track of what is going on in my life as a diary of sorts. My main issue with the weekly view is the inability to track goals and commitments long term. What I really wanted was a monthly view in addition to the weekly view.
Enter: The Monthly Times. A planner put forth by the Korean company Seeso Graphics who also made my other planner, that has 14 months worth of monthly calendars and a whole lot of lined paper for free writing. I’ve been working on setting up January today and I already love the format, especially for blog post planning. For now I’m going to try to keep up with both planners. I have different plans for each of them, after all.
In addition to tracking new things in my new planner, another goal of mine is to start planning my outfits for the week. My goal is about 3 set aside outfits for each week. I’m hoping this is going to allow me the time I need to shop my closet and put together outfits that I enjoy wearing and really feel like me. I’ve already set aside a couple for this week. Once I figure out the best way to photograph them, I hope to start sharing my planned outfits, and maybe even compare them to what I actually wore.
This planning decision came after a major overhaul of my closet this weekend. I took over half of the items hanging in there out for donation. Anything that didn’t fit right, wasn’t my style, or made me feel less than great was taken out. I’m left with a lot less, but that hopefully means that I’ll feel better about the outfits I choose going forward. My personal style and appearance are a big part of my goals for 2016. I’m just looking to be more me.
Are you just starting a new planner for 2016? If you blog about it, you should link in the comments, because I love seeing what others are using to plan out the year!
